Have you ever found yourself in a situation that seems like it will never end? Maybe its financial debt or singleness? Or maybe it’s the grief you feel after losing someone.

Whatever it is, sometimes it can feel as if you will be stuck in that place forever. It can feel like you will never be debt free or get married or find joy again. It can feel like you will never see the other side of your situation.  But even if you can’t see the other side, it is important to know that God can.

God Can See the Other Side of Your Situation

God can see the other side of your situation, just like He saw the other side of the Israelites’ bondage (Exodus 1:13-14; 3:8) and Elizabeth’s barrenness. (Luke 1:7, 13-17) Just as He saw the other side of Jesus’ death. (John 3:14-17)

God can see the other side of your heartbreak and loss. He can see the other side of your debt and lack and He can see the other side of your failure and symptoms.

And what is on the other side? Salvation, deliverance, healing, freedom, prosperity and peace. God can see all this waiting for you even when you cannot.

In fact, He is the one who has prepared all of this for you. And, He actually desires to take you to the other side.

God Desires to Take You to the Other Side

Sometimes in the middle of a hopeless situation, you can start to wonder if God doesn’t want you to get out of it. But in actual fact, He does.

God wants to bring you to a place of healing and peace. He wants you to know joy and prosperity and to see His goodness. It gives God pleasure to see you prosper (Psalm 35:27), both in your health and in your soul.

With this in mind, it makes sense that He would want to take you to a place that would allow that to happen. However, in order to get to that place, you must be willing.

You Must Be Willing

Just as the journey to the land of Canaan was not easy for the Israelites, neither will your journey to the other side be.

It takes courage, perseverance, character and patience to walk through what looks like a barren, dry, wilderness. But you have got to be willing to travel through that wilderness if you want to see the beauty that waits on the other side.

You have to be willing to persevere and to endure. You also have to be willing to pray more and fast more.

If you give up too soon, you might never see the other side of your situation. So you must be strong and courageous (Joshua 1:9).

Allow your situation to draw you closer to God and remind you of how much you need Him. Remembering that, at no point do you ever walk alone, for God walks with you.

God Will Walk With You to the Other Side

In the midst of trial and tribulation, you can forget that God is still with you. You can even be led to believe that He has forsaken you. But that is not true. God, who cannot lie, promises that He will never leave nor forsake us.

The Bible says that the Lord is with you in trouble, (Psalm 91:15) and He is with you as you walk through the valley of the shadow of death. (Psalm 23:4)

This means that even in the midst of whatever situation you are facing, God is with you. He is walking with you. The Lord will not leave you alone because He is committed to getting you to the other side.

Therefore, He will ensure that His glory shall be your rear guard (Isaiah 58:8) and He will lay His hand upon you and keep you safe. (Psalm 139:5) He will strengthen you and encourage you, comfort you and guide you, until you reach the other side. So do not lose heart.

Don’t Lose Heart

It can be easy to your joy, your peace and your confidence in God when days look dark. But it is so important not to allow such things to happen.

Don’t lose heart and don’t be discouraged.

Turn to Scripture and let it remind you that God is bigger than everything, including your situation. (2 Chronicles 6:18) As Jesus tells us to, do not let your heart be troubled, believe in God. (John 14:1) Believe that He is who He says He is and He can do what He says He can do.

Get God’s Vision

Finally, you must ask God for vision.  Ask Him to open your spiritual eyes and help you see what is ahead.

As you pray, fast and seek, you will be able to see what lies ahead of you. When you look forward with the eyes of faith, you will be able to see the other side (Hebrews 11:1)

You might not see the entire picture, but at least you can get a glimpse. A glimpse of the wonderful goodness He has laid up and prepared for you. (Psalm 31:19) And it will give you hope.

And what a blessing to know that your hope will not disappoint, (Romans 5:5) for if you are willing to persevere and walk with God, He will see you safely, to the other side.
