Hello..this is your next of kin calling from the other side. The other side of 30 good years of tears on my pillow and a deep sorrow I could never put my finger on. I am kin to all that you have ever had to struggle with, made kin to you by purposeful creator and I just want to encourage myself and somebody today.. Did you know that you are a new person today? a better person than you were yesterday?, doing better than you think you are?.
A challenge in a Constantly Negative News (CNN) environment is that it blurs the lines of even that which is positive. So don’t loose heart “you’re in the right direction” (Oliver Mtukudzi in a local advert many years ago…i can neither confirm nor deny my enjoyment of said television station back in the day…ndainzi Chigutiro kuCreche hahahahahaha and thats one too many secrets for these brackets)..Anway…..
Remember the steps of a righteous man are ordered even when we think we’ve been haphazarding posing a hazard to ourselves and others. There are continuous references of evil in the word where though some spoke of being slain and spoke also of being slaves to God their yoke was light simply because He is a promise keeping God.
He is the God of it ALL and there is NOTHING that doesn’t submit to him. As trecherous as the enemy is even he needs to put in a word to pop by and set a few fires..Job was a case in point that bad things happen to good people, there is simply no escape..in fact bad things happen to all people even those we put on spiritual pedestiles.
Its been tough these past couple of years and seeking spiritual comfort has become a priority even to the tough cookies that could do it on their “own”. So if you have a prayer in your heart today add this too, ask Him to open your eyes and set you free from the blinkers of society, ask Him for the wherewithal to endure a little discomfort for a lot of rest later.
Our weapons are not carnal and therefore whether you have biceps or triceps rain falleth on us all. The difference is that some may emerge as Davids, others lose the plot like Sauls others may have started on their backs and discovered a new purpose on their feet and others may meet God on the road to Damascus and acquire a whole new and more fulfilled identity.
Another element to this now extending prayer is to change what we are called by ourselves and those who knew us when we were still growing. Father change our names in our hearts for as a man thinketh in his heart so is he, help us to think differently and answer to a different name this 2017, let us not fall into the temptation of going backwards in leaps and bounds but let us ascend to greater heights where your kingdom comes and your will is done on earth as it is in Heaven, finally, Giver of seed to the sower and bread to the eater, let there be a bright light wherever we set foot and let there be love where there was previous hate for the power and the glory are yours forever and ever Amen.
