Hip Hop Artist Prophecy finally dropped his Debut Album Mask off on Saturday 5 Nov at a launch concert with a performance that can easily be argued as the best we have seen to date from a Zim Hip Hop artist.

Backed by Tha Band Shabach, Prophecy put on a show that was nothing short of amazing. His energy and the way he connected with the crowd was powerful, dropping song after song coupled with well-choreographed dance routines. The Concert was well put together by Shabach Entertainment, the label Prophecy is signed to.

This much anticipated album was a long time in the making and having listened to it now it was worth the wait. The production is solid and fans have been served with a quality product. The sound is eclectic and very musical, making it an easy listen even for those who are not into the genre

However that’s not even the highlight of all of this. It’s the message being pushed through this album that makes it stand out. Prophecy gets personal and shares the powerful message of the Gospel of Jesus Christ with conviction.

Many rappers are known to have a back-story, usually about how many times they got shot or have been to jail. As for Prophecy, his back-story is closer to home. He shares his powerful testimony of how he survived cancer and he unapologetically gives God the credit.

Prophecy is definitely being radiant within Culture. The purpose and calling behind his music is crystal clear- he is taking the Gospel right were its needed and not many have dared to do that of late.

“I don’t want to be considered as an artist for the church, I want to impact Hip Hop culture, and take the Gospel message there undiluted in excellence,” he says bluntly.
