Trust and obey is a song that brings up fond memories of my early days in the faith, when I was a young boy. It taught me a lesson that still rings true even to this day, that there is no other way to be happy in this life but to trust and obey God.

In the second verse of this song, Derek Minor said something that struck with me. He said God told him “Just do what I told you to do, give it all that you got and you’ll rise above in this”. Even when things are crazy all we need to do is obey God and do what He told us to do and we will win at life. We just need to trust that He will never give us more than we can bear and that He will never lead us in the wrong direction.
