Why fake it in the first place?
Nobody would ever need to fake it if they were confident in what they already have. Think about it. When you already believe in you there’s no time to put up a front because you’re too busy running your own race. It’s a miserable cycle of despair trying to be like other people. You don’t need to be like anyone else and the reality is that you can’t, well maybe with surgery and make-up you might but it would never be as natural or authentic.
Whose are you but Gods’?
The species valued above all others, given dominion and consideration. You’d think this would make Him our go-to for insight, right? Wrong many of us including me have been like that drunk white girl in horror movies who goes toward the ominous rustling bushes and gets herself killed. Watching in the audience we all wish she would have just turned around and run but our eyes stay glued in a disappointed suspense about what happens now that she’s gone.
Who are you? Don’t know? CONGRATULATIONS you’re the perfect candidate!!
The only way you’ll ever really know who you are is when you find yourself in God. Thankfully He’s interested in meeting the real you and introducing you to all the beautiful things He made in you.
Have you taken the time to explore what you have? I can hear someone thinking “I have but there’s just nothing interesting about me, I’m not artistic, I’m not particularly attractive…”, and a whole lot of other “nots”. Let me rephrase my question Have you ever taken time to explore what you DO have?
The other day I posted “Sometimes you need to go back to factory settings to know exactly what the manufacturer had in mind for you”. It came at a time when I was trying to figure out my future (I’m still trying) so that I could show it to God for approval. Somewhere along the line I picked up the idea that God would only hear me out if a) someone more believably Christian than I spoke to Him on my behalf or b) I approached Him but with a well thought out plan that wouldn’t need Him to do much.
People are strange creatures and I’ll be the first to admit that I am glad to finally know the truth that God gets me. He’s had the backstage pass on the good, the bad and the ugly all along and even though I tried to weave together some leaves to hide my nakedness He still knew me.
Now you can start on the journey of making it
You can’t just blindly consume everything the world and people in the world say about you because the world is not a credible source. The enemy would love nothing more than to pour a little poison on your perspective and though he’s non-effectual to God’s plan he’s still a persistent trouble causer.
“Oh yeah there’s something about you, Beautiful I just want you know you’re my favorite girl” – Beautiful, Snoop Dogg ft Pharrell Williams. We all heard this song at some point and though the video went a little South my point is there’s something about YOU. God didn’t waste any resources on you. Don’t take my word for it ask him yourself today.
