Every week we recommend 5 resources to help you on your Christian walk. On our list is something to watch, to listen to, to read, to do and a bible verse. On the list this week are resources that will help you stay focussed on the goal
To Watch
This week’s video is a motivational talk by Bishop TD Jakes on how to live a focused life. Being focused is critical because if you`re not a lot of time will be wasted, achieving nothing. I hope it encourages to zone in to your purpose and focus on Gods plan for your life.
To Listen
To listen this week we have the song “Be Still” by Hillsong Worship. It’s a beautiful worship song that talks about encouraging yourself to be still and rely on God. Enjoy.
To Read
Our recommendation for this week is a book by John Piper titled “Don’t Waste Your Life”. The book encourages us to take risks and make sacrifice that matter for eternity as we pursue Christ. I hope you find it a worthwhile read.

To Do
Be Intentional
I don’t know if it is because we live in a fallen world or not, but often times it seems like it takes way less effort to go wrong than it does go right. It’s easier to slide downhill but painful and strenuous to rise up. Nothing will make you more cognizant of this fact than following Jesus. To follow His instructions does not come naturally to our broken and imperfect flesh.
In order for us to conquer, we must become intentional with our lives. We can’t wait around and expect to suddenly become the people that God wants us to be. We have to make decisions and act on them intentionally. If we wait and chill we will begin to slowly but surely go downhill and that is not the will of the Lord for our lives. He intends for us to grow and daily become more like Him. So as you live your life each day be intentional in everything you do be it prayer, reading your bible or taking time to share the gospel and disciple those that need it.
Bible Verse
Proverbs 8:10 New International Version (NIV)
10 Choose my instruction instead of silver,
knowledge rather than choice gold,
The times we live in are very interesting times. We have so many options available to us and money and power are seemingly hyped and promoted as the most important things to chase. However the bible in this verse gives us a different formula and tells us that it is more important to choose instruction and gain knowledge over riches and wealth. As we live as believers today let us remember that there are things more precious than material wealth.
