Every week we recommend 5 resources to help you on your Christian walk. On our list is something to watch, to listen to, to read, to do and a bible verse. On the list this week are resources that will help you keep winning in life no matter what challenges you face…

To Watch

To watch this week, we have a teaching by amazing singer and vocalist Tauren Wells titled How We Fight Our Battles. He teaches about how worship is very instrumental when it comes to fighting battles in the Christian faith. I hope it edifies you.

To Listen

For this week we have an inspirational message by TD Jakes on how to keep going and never quitting on your purpose. I hope it encourages and gives the fuel to persevere in your life despite any circumstances.

To Read

To read this week we have an article by Scott Hubbard. In the article he talks about how we need more than just God to live a fulfilling and fruitful life. I hope it gives you a better perspective on how to approach life in respect to needs and God’s providence.

To Do

Do Life with Others

If you are anything like me, you find it easier and more enjoyable to most things on your own. I like to watch movies on my own because there’s no one disruption by asking questions or making comment, I like to take walks alone, so I can have my earphones in and enjoy good music, I like to study alone, pray alone and even read the Bible on my own, the list is long. There is just something about knowing you’re the only variable in the room and you have a certain of control over what you’re doing.

As I grow and mature, however, I’m discovering that yes, there are certain things we can do alone but we are not supposed to do everything alone. In fact, some things are better when done with partner or a team. More progress is made in less the time and some things become more enjoyable with others as we share jokes and laughter.

For the Christian the Paul in the bibles gives a very analogy. He calls the church a body with many parts. Each with a different talent, capability and purpose but all working together at the same time for the glory of God. I think God designed it this way so that we would walk together and grow as a unit with everyone contributing their gift to the collective.

Ecclesiastes 4:9-12 ESV

Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their toil. [10] For if they fall, one will lift his fellow. But woe to him who is alone when he falls and has not another to lift him up! [11] Again, if two lie together, they keep warm, but how can one keep warm alone? [12] And though a man might prevail against one who is alone, two will withstand him-a threefold cord is not quickly broken.

In most things two are always better than one. So, don’t live your life on your own in your win little corner. Even with praying and reading the Bible. Engage other believers, read and grow together. What you don’t know you will be helped with and you will also help those who need it. So, follow believers, on our journey to God let us walk as one and do life together.

Bible Verse

Matthew 18:19-20 ESV

Again, I say to you, if two of you agree on earth about anything they ask, it will be done for them by my Father in heaven. [20] For where two or three are gathered in my name, there am I among them.”

As Christians our strength lies in numbers. Jesus promises that if two agree in his name, whatever they agree will done according to His power and that when two or more are gathered He is in their midst. It is important that we meet up and do things together as believers.
