This is a very interesting excerpt from one of Steven Furtick’s sermons. He talks about how when we get stuck we tend to make rash decisions or act on impulse and it ends up affecting us negatively. This is something I have done countless times and I’ve regretted it. Furtick encourages us to slow down in these situations and seek God’s wisdom, it will help you avoid making the wrong decisions.

Tembalami – Mbiri ft Janet Manyowa
“’Mbiri”, which means Glory, is a song that testifies to the power of our God. He is the strong tower we can run to when we are in trouble. To Do
Pursue Spiritual Gifts
The gift of speaking tongues has been painted in a bad light; some people believe that it is something only ‘ spooky’ Christians do. But it is not. In the Bible, the Apostle Paul encourages us all to pursue spiritual gifts, especially the gift of speaking in tongues (1 Corinthians 14:5). The advantage of speaking in tongues is that when you pray it’s according to God’s will, as the Spirit will be praying on your behalf.
We are also encouraged to seek the gift of prophesy which benefits the body of Christ even more. I know that the gift of prophesying has been abused by some, but my plea is that you don’t let others’ dishonest use of the gift dissuade you from pursuing it. God has set aside these gifts for His children, so do not let the world’s misuse of them stop you from receiving them.
Bible Verse
Psalm 91:5-7 ESV
You will not fear the terror of the night, nor the arrow that flies by day, nor the pestilence that stalks in darkness, nor the destruction that wastes at noonday. A thousand may fall at your side, ten thousand at your right hand, but it will not come near you.
In light of everything that is going on in the world right now particularly the Corona virus pandemic, it’s easy to fall into a state of panic and fear. However, God has given us promises to hold on to at times like these. He promises that no matter what comes He is always looking out for us and making sure we are taken care of. So be prepared and careful, but also remain in the peace of God.
