To Watch: Nothing You Do Can Change Your Value by Havilah Cunnington (Better Together)

Sometimes we can fall into the trap of thinking our value is determined by what we do and where we grew up. Or what school we attended and what job we have. But in this excerpt from “Better Together”, Havilah Cunnington tells us that our worth is not determined by any of that.

Our value comes from who God says we are. And He says that we are His children; we are righteous in Him and worthy. Let that truth hit home as you watch and learn from this video.

To Do: Meditate on God’s Love

It can be hard to receive God’s love when you feel you don’t deserve it, especially when you feel you’ve made too many irredeemable mistakes. But the truth is, nothing you do will stop God from loving you.

So don’t shy away from His love when you fall short.  Don’t dwell on negative or condemning thoughts. Instead, practice meditating on the truth that God loves you. Remind yourself that He has redeemed you and He has given you enough grace to cover all your mistakes.

Bible Verse:  Isaiah 43:1 (NKJV)

But now, thus says the Lord,

Who created you, O Jacob,

And He who formed you, O Israel:

“Fear not, for I have redeemed you;

I have called you by your name;

You are mine.”

You have been created by the God of the whole Earth. He has redeemed you and you belong to Him. Let no one, not even yourself, cause you to forget that. You are of great value to God and precious in His sight. So meditate on this verse and know that you are loved and cherished by God.
