To Listen: Ndovimba Nemi by Minister Michael Mahendere
When you seek the Lord first and place your trust in Him, He will turn situations around for your good and safeguard you. This is what Mahendere tells us in his song “Ndovimba Nemi” (I Trust in You).
He boldly declares how God is our constant protector; He shields us from so many things we cannot see. As you seek the Lord every day not only will you be protected but your life will be transformed! May that truth encourage and comfort you as you listen to this song.
To Read: The Power of Your Mind by Chris Oyakhilome
As Christians it is important that our thoughts and actions line up with God’s Word. In order for this to happen, we must manage our minds and focus on the spiritual. In his book, “The Power of Your Mind” Pastor Chris Oyakhilome gives Christians powerful insight into how we can do that.
He shows us how we can use the God-given power of our minds to fight negative emotions and thoughts, change our attitude, live victoriously and so much more. So if you’re looking to transform your life and start using your mind rightly, this book is a must read.
To Do: Act on the Word
The Bible is a powerful book. However, the power within it is only made manifest when we act on what it says. Too often people simply read a passage of Scripture, feel enlightened and then leave it at that. But if you really want the Word to transform your life you must act on it.
So start practising doing what the Bible tells you to do. If it says be slow to anger, be patient, or be a cheerful giver, practise that intentionally. Acting on the Word will enable you to become an authentic Christian who lives and worships God in Spirit and in truth.
Bible Verse: Romans 12:2 (NKJV)
And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.
We live in the world but that does not mean we must conform to its standards, beliefs, practices and trends. As Christians we are actually supposed to be different from the people in the world. But in order for that to happen, you must be transformed. That transformation happens by renewing your mind with God’s Word.
This is what this verse is telling us. As you meditate on the Word and verses like this the way you act and think will change. You will then be able to discern what God’s will is and live an extraordinary and transformed life.
