To Do: Pray
When you are faced with a troubling situation, don’t turn to worry, don’t allow yourself to. Instead turn to prayer. This is what will strengthen you, encourage you and fill you with peace.
In life, there is always something to worry about. There is always something that can try to steal your peace and fill you with anxiety. Maybe you feel powerless in the face of what you feel or are going through, but you are not.
If you’re feeling overwhelmed just put down everything and focus on prayer. Get on your knees if you have to, and give your requests to God with supplication and thanksgiving. (Philippians 4:6) Pour out your heart before Him and lift up your voice in prayerful praise. Give all your problems to God and trust that He will take care of them, because He will. In Jesus name.
Bible Verse: Matthew 6:34 (NKJV)
Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.
Has your peace been stolen? Are you worried about how you’re going to make it through the next day, the next week or the next month? Are you anxious about whether or not you’ll have enough food, clothing, money or time to do all you need?
Well, Jesus Himself commands you not to worry about that. He tells you not to worry about tomorrow. Not to worry about the next week, the next month or the next year. Just focus on today.
When you catch yourself getting anxious about your life, meditate on this verse and remember that God is in control. Just do your best today and leave the rest for God.
