To Watch: Finding God’s Pace of Grace (Part 2) by Michael Todd

Do you feel like you’re running out of time to fulfil your dream? To accomplish your destiny? Have you found yourself caught in an imagined race against those around you? Desperate for your ministry and calling to be as big and as successful? If so, you can learn a lot from this video.

In this episode of Praise, Michael Todd shares a story of his journey from being the “sound guy” to lead Pastor of Transformation Church. After a particularly challenging season in the early days of leading his church, God spoke to him and challenged him to stop comparing himself to other, to do less and be obedient. To slow down and find the pace of grace.

As you step out and fulfil what God has called you to do, you need to stop trying to be successful in your own power and at your own speed. You need to rely on God’s divine provision and walk in His pace of grace. Watch this video to learn why and how that can be a blessing to you and those around you.

To Listen: Mighty Grace by John Mark Pantana

God’s grace is as mighty as a wave. This is the reminder that bursts through this song by John Mark Pantana. God’s grace, like water, washes us clean of all the shame and guilt that stains us. He makes us white as snow and clothes us in His righteous robes.

This is one thing you must never forget as a child of God; the sheer awesomeness of God’s grace. Listen to this song to be reminded of that wonderful and amazing grace.  (Click the “Read more” to read the revelations John Mark Pantana has had on God’s grace, that influenced the making of this song.)

To Read: When the Unexpected Exceeds What You Imagined by Christine Caine

Has God called you to do something big? Is this something way out of your comfort zone? Are you wondering how and if you’ll be able to succeed? Well then, this article is for you.

After being called by God to start an anti- trafficking organisation, Christine Caine was left wondering how she was going to do it. All the consultants told her it was impossible. She herself had no idea how to run such an organisation and she didn’t even know the right people. Yet, God was telling her to do it.

So Christine decided to trust God and rely not in her own ability, but in His grace. Read this article to find out how she did it and learn how you too can learn to walk in God’s grace to achieve the seemingly impossible.

To Do: Stop Trusting in Your Own Ability

Sometimes we can fall into the trap of thinking that we can only achieve certain things if we are qualified enough. If we speak well or write well or have all the right degrees and know all the right people. It’s true that those things can get you far. But God’s grace can get you further.

For it says in the Word “Not by might nor by power but my Spirit, says the Lord of hosts” (Zechariah 4:6) It is through His Spirit and by His grace that you can do and accomplish anything. Not by your own great wisdom or knowledge.

So if you have been feeling unqualified, don’t worry. If you have been trusting in your own ability. Stop. For the Lord says “I will destroy the wisdom of the wise and bring to nothing the understanding of the prudent.” (1 Corinthians 1: 19) Instead, trust in God’s ability and rely on His grace to accomplish all that you desire to.

Bible Verse: Ephesians 2:8 (ESV)

For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God.

People do not work for gifts. Gifts are given for free and often with the price tag off. Have you ever thought of salvation as a gift? Because it is.  We do not work for salvation and we cannot earn it, it’s been given to us by grace. If we had to work for it then it wouldn’t be a gift.

Maybe you have been living trying to earn your way into God’s good graces. Thinking, If I pray enough and if I fast enough. Or if I read the whole Bible every month and am kind enough to people around me, God will be pleased with me and I won’t go to hell. That’s not how it works. You cannot save yourself.

That is what this verse is telling us. Only God’s grace can and has saved us. It’s up to you to receive the gift of salvation by faith. Then stop trying to earn your way to salvation and walk in God’s grace.
