To Do: Meditate on Godly Things

Part of the reason you can become insecure is because of what you meditate on. If you give attention to things that will discourage you or make you feel useless, you are bound to feel insecure.

But the Word gives a template of the kinds of things you must meditate on in Philippians 4:8. Here, it says you are supposed to think on things that are noble, lovely, praiseworthy and true.

So this week, make an effort to think thoughts that are in line with Philippians 4:8. When those thoughts of insecurity come, cast them out and replace them with God’s Word.

As you do this, you will be strengthened, encouraged and become more confident in who God says you are.

Bible Verse: 2 Corinthians 12:9 (NKJV)

My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness

One of the reason you can feel insecure is because you feel inadequate. You feel as if you don’t have the intelligence, the gifts or the ability to achieve what you dream to achieve. But what you must understand is that it is not about your ability. It’s about God’s ability and God’s grace.

This verse is a blessed reminder of that.

You don’t need to fear being incapable because through God you are fully capable. Your weakness, in whatever area, makes room for His strength. So instead of worrying over what you feel you can’t do, thank God for what He can do.

So, meditate on this verse and lean on God’s grace, knowing that through Him you can do all things.
