To Do: Ask for Enablement
To live the Christian life, you need the help of the Holy Spirit. He is the One who equips you and enables you to live in a godly way. Therefore, if you desire to remain steadfast in your faith you must ask God for enablement.
Ask Him to take more of you and give you more of His Holy Spirit, so that you can live in a way that is pleasing to Him. Ask that His Spirit thinks through you, acts through you and helps you stay steadfast. In Jesus name.
Bible Verse: 1 Corinthians 15:58 (NKJV)
Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labor is not in vain in the Lord.
It is not easy to do the work of God or to remain steadfast and firm in your faith. As Paul implies in this verse, it is hard work. But that work is not done in vain. The Word of God promises that those who continue steadfastly in the faith will be rewarded. (Romans 2:7)
So as you meditate on this verse, be reminded that all the work you do in Jesus Christ is not for nothing. God sees your work and God is the One who will reward it in this life and in the one to come.
