To Do: Remember Who God Is
If you are going to believe that God is able to do anything for you, you have to remember who God is.
God is not a human. He is the One who created the heavens, the earth and the seas as well as you. (Psalm 146:6) His ways and thoughts are higher than our own. (Isaiah 55:8-9) He is mighty, faithful and He never fails. (Zephaniah 3:5)
So when you turn to God in prayer, remember this and don’t doubt that the God who did all this is fully capable of doing all things.
Bible Verse: Romans 4:21 (ESV)
… fully convinced that God was able to do what he had promised.
The father of our faith, Abraham, knew much about waiting on God. But unlike some of us, he did not doubt in God’s ability to fulfil His promises.
As this verse reveals, Abraham was fully convinced that God was able to fulfil His promise to give him a son.
It didn’t matter that years had passed. It didn’t matter that Sarah and himself were old. He was fully convinced and he fully believed.
As you meditate on this verse, may it build up your faith and encourage you to wait on God in the same way. Patiently and confidently, in Jesus name.
