To Do: Listen When God Speaks
Some people have a hard time believing that God still speaks today, let alone that He speaks to them individually. But He does.
He may not be speaking as the loud audible voice described in the Bible. But He does speak through people and by quickening a Word of Scripture in the Bible. He can also speak by giving you a sense of peace to encourage you to do something or a sense of unease if He is discouraging you. But it’s up to you to start tuning in and listening when He speaks.
Listen to the words spoken to you, to the Word you read, to the peace you feel. Listen and you will realise that all along God has been speaking and it was just up to you to believe that you were hearing.
Bible Verse: John 10:27 (NKJV)
My sheep hear my voice, and I know them and they follow me.
As a Christian you are one of God’s sheep that means you can and do hear His voice. So don’t worry or wonder if you can hear His voice or not.
That verse assures you that you do.
Instead, meditate on this verse and ask the Lord to reveal to you the ways in which He has been speaking and help you to listen and obey when He does.
