To Do: Practise Your Faith
It’s easier to practise your faith when life is going smoothly. But it’s a lot harder when life isn’t. In the midst of pain, suffering, hardship, confusion and loss, it can be quite challenging to believe what the Word of God says, let alone practise it.
Yet, it’s in exactly such situations that you need to practise your faith. It’s at such times that you need to pray. To fast, to worship and to believe that God is with you.
When you do this, you will be amazed by the strength God gives you and how much you faith strengthens and grows.
Bible Verse: Psalm 23:4 (NKJV)
Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.
God does not promise us that we will never go through the valley of the shadow of death. But he does promise that He will be with us when we do.
His rod will protect us and His staff will guide us, and both these and His presence will comfort us. This can be hard to remember and sometimes harder to believe when you are in the valley.
But you must remember it and you must believe it. God is with you in the valley of all your suffering, hardship and pain.
