Every week we recommend 5 resources to help you on your christian walk. On our list is something to watch, to listen to, to read, to do and a bible verse. Our focus for this week is helping you to keep trusting God
To Watch
KB’s Sermon & Convo
In this video, Kevin Burgess talks about what God is doing in and through the church. God intends the Church to be beacons of His saving power and glory. I hope it helps you understand the dynamics of what the Church of God really is.
To Listen
Anthem Lights – Outta My Mind
Outta My mind is one of my favorite songs from the American band Anthem lights. The song talks about something that most of us struggle with; getting caught up mulling over circumstances in our minds instead of trusting God. I hope it helps you get out of your mind and into God’s design for your life.
To Read
To read this week is an article by Greg Morse. He talks about trusting who God says you are over what people or your past have to say about you. If you are in Christ, you become a new creation and your Redeemer is the one who gives you identity.

To Do
Store It Up in Your Heart
As a child of God seeking to grow in your knowledge of Him, one of the most important things you can ever do is to memorize scripture. There are so many ways that this can help you grow in your walk with God. Knowing scripture will help you in times where temptations or situations come when there’s no time to search the scriptures before you respond or act and because you already have it memorized it will come to you instantly.
Another instance where knowing scripture is very helpful is when you’re ministering to someone and you must give biblical evidence or defend the faith. There are so many other examples I can give of this, but I will site one from the man whom God regarded as a man after God’s own heart, David.
Psalm 119:11 ESV
I have stored up your word in my heart, that I might not sin against you.
I know it’s hard work and it takes time memorize scripture but like anything if you commit to it you be able to and the benefits and rewards of it bring life not only to you but to those around you. So read it and store it up in your heart.
Bible Verse
Ecclesiastes 9:11 ESV
Again, I saw that under the sun the race is not to the swift, nor the battle to the strong, nor bread to the wise, nor riches to the intelligent, nor favor to those with knowledge, but time and chance happen to them all.
Sometimes when we look at ourselves, our abilities and resources, it always looks like we don’t have enough to accomplish our goas. In those moment our aspirations and dreams seem like they’ll never happen. Fortunately, God gave us this word. We may not have everything we need to get ahead, (strength, speed, money, intelligence etc.), but our Father in heaven makes sure that we all get our time and chance.
