To Do: Keep Yourself in God’s Love
God is always thinking about us. (Psalm 40:17) He always has His eyes fixed on us. And He always loves us.
Maybe there are times you feel this love more strongly than at other times. But the truth is that God’s love for you is steadfast and never changing. God loves you just as much today as He did yesterday and as He will love you tomorrow and for all eternity.
It’s up to you to remember this and constantly be aware of it, even when you fall short. You must keep yourself in the love of God. (Jude 1:21) So this week open yourself up to be more aware of God’s love and abide in it. (1 John 4:16) When the accusing and condemning thoughts tell you otherwise, meditate on Scripture that will remind you that God cares for you, He is for you and He loves you.
Bible Verse: 1 John 4:19 (NKJV)
We love Him because He first loved us.
Long before you even thought about God, before you even considered seeking Him and turning to Him, He loved you. He had His eyes fixed on you from the beginning and He has always loved you.
God chose you before you chose Him. He loved you before you loved Him. That is why we love Him as well as other because God first loved us. That is what this verse reveals to us.
As you meditate on this amazing truth, be reminded of how much God loves you. Pray too, that He may reveal more of His love to you and help you experience it. In Jesus name.
