To Do: Start

It can be easy to let excuses stop you from reading the Word. I’ll read it after I start going to church. I’ll read it after I clean up my life. I’ll read it when I have time or when I’m a better Christian.

But you must not wait until you start attending church, or after you have cleaned up your life or when you have more time.

Start now. If that means starting small, that’s okay. Ten minutes a day is better than nothing. A verse a day is better than nothing.

Once you start reading, God will have somewhere to start with you. The Holy Spirit will have something to remind you of.

So, start reading the Bible today and don’t waste a second in hearing what God has to say to you.

Bible Verse: 2 Timothy 3:16 (ESV)

All scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness.

Although it was written thousands of years ago, the Word of God is still relevant to us today.

Through the Bible you can receive correction and rebuke when you are going astray. From it you can also learn how to live a righteous life. The Apostle Paul makes this very clear in the verse above. These are just some of the reasons you should be reading it daily, but there are many more.

So as you think over this verse, ask God to show you how His Word applies to your life Bible to your life and why you should read it constantly.
