To Do

Serve
As Christians every other Sunday we go to church to meet up with other believers and get ministered to by the praise and worship teams and preachers. This is good because the bible encourages us to regularly meet and build one another up. Often times however I have noticed that most of us just go to church, receive, mingle (if at all) and then we leave.
I used to be like that at some point until I realized that there was more to church than just coming to receive. I realized that I too had something to give and the body of Christ was depending on it. God has given all of us specific gifts and His intention is that we use them to help and build one another up for His glory. So I encourage you to find something that you can contribute to your church that is not just money. It can be anything from helping people find their seats to helping with the set up before the service starts. Don’t just be a spectator, be a part of it, contribute. Serve!

Bible Verse

Mathew 7: 12
In everything, then, do to others as you would have them do to you. For this is the essence of the Law and the prophets.
Jesus in this verse teaches a very important principle on how we are supposed to live our lives in relation to those around us. He encourage us to treat others in the same way we would want them to treat us. This can be difficult sometimes because our sinful nature is selfish and we always wants to do what benefits us but Jesus has promised to help us overcome ourselves and live the life that He has modeled for those that follow Him. So in everything we do let us treat each other with the love we ourselves would expect.
