To Do: Don’t Fear Man
One of the things that makes people afraid to stand out and stand strong in Christ is the fear of man. On the surface this fear appears to be just a deep desire to please others but at its root, it’s fear about what people will think or do if you don’t do what they want.
The Bible warns us that “The fear of man brings a snare but whoever trusts in the Lord shall be safe.” (Proverbs 29:25) So as you set out to walk the narrow path, the different path. Don’t fear man and trust in God, for He alone is your life and hope.
Bible Verse: James 4:4 (NKJV)
Adulterers and adulteresses! Do you know that friendship with the world is enmity with God?
Whoever there wants to be a friend of the world makes himself and enemy of God.
When you strive to follow in the footsteps of the people in the world take time to think about what you will be gaining and what you will be losing. It is important to note that in seeking to be like those in the world, you distance yourself from God, who saved your soul and will give you eternal life.
What is most important to you? The approval of the world or the love and life you find in God?
If you know what that is, you will have the courage to live a different life.
