Patriarchal Princess

They conditioned you to believe you don’t have power if you always agree.

You wanted to be heard so you created a problem that was never there and then felt important fighting against it.

So that we could hear your voice.

Yours, that trembles and chokes in His silence.

Yours, that should be whispering, “Increase Lord, so that I can decrease.

Shout Lord, so that I can keep quiet

And not tell people that You did not express Yourself well on the subject of Womanhood.”

I hope you can laugh at yourself someday.

Realizing how ridiculous you are at thinking He made a mistake.

Said a few words He shouldn’t have,

Like Lord stop breathing fire and creating stars out of your breath,

Created to be belittled?

Take a moment to think about what You say before You say it and make us all believe You used your Holy hands to create Eve, named her after You, Ezer ,only to use the rest of the Bible to belittle women.

You tell us they didn’t count women because they weren’t considered important.

You ever stopped to think , yea, stopped to think ,that maybe the head is the representation of the whole?

Just as how we are one in Him, the Head of all things that are and aren’t.

You want us to believe in the unfairness of the Word at portraying women as weaklings only meant for the pleasure of men and for recreation.

Fashioned to be Queen

Yet we have evidence of bold women like Deborah , a woman who stood fierce in the face of war, commanding an army that did not feel safe fighting without her.

Isn’t Queen Esther a bold risk taker?

Would you dare attempt to walk past the President’s security?

Doesn’t Ruth strike you as a go getter?

While the rest of us play hard to get because we fear our insecurities will show too soon?

We choose to obey our Father, to be under His authority.

Submission is not weakness

Stop telling us that ‘submissive’ wives do not have power.

You know no one can have power over one unless it is given.

Tell me what type of might one has to have to be able to freely give up playing god over the people they could control.

If you stopped arguing for the sake of being heard, it is possible you would realize ‘mutual thoughts’ are a farce.

Which would you be?

The one who comes up with an idea or the one who waits to agree or disagree?

Confident in our worth

Christian womanhood is fine,

We are okay with being hard workers at home and in the market place .

We are fine being seeds of change.

We are good pushing from behind, because we are content with who we are.

Confident in our worth , that does not need proving .

We would rather hear His voice

When He tells us we are like Him, Ezer’s

Protectors.
